How To Change A Cassette Into A CD

MUSIC ON CASSETTES

get a plug like this



get a cassette player (walkman)

put one end of the plug in the output of the player

and the other end in the input(or microphone end) of the Computer



now download a software called

mp3mymp3

from http://www.mp3mymp3.com/



run it

select source as Microphone or input (just play the cassette, and whichever shows a difference on whichever source choose that)

after selcting the source, press play in the cassette player and the record button on mp3mymp3 software

after its all recorded save it as an mp3 file

then burn it on to a cd

I recently purchased a gateway computer using windows vista and tried to change home made music cassette into CD and was unable to do so. If you have any advice please advise

Yes I did, I connected the cable from my stereo, to the microphone jack on my computer and played the tape and hit record on the mp3mymp3 after downloading it. I hit playback and got a message no playback recorded!

I looked on the properties and it only had compatible for Windows XP service pack 2

excellent ... well for vista you dont need MP3 MY Mp3

Just connect your Cassette player with the microphone port of your computer

goto start>programs>entertainment>Sound Recorder



Click Start Record

Push Play on your cassette player



Stop when you want to

then save it as a wma file



if you want to convert it to mp3 from there just goto http://www.media-convert.com

I will try it tomorrow, thanks for your help. When I hooked it up all I got on the source button was 2 Master Volume. I got to go to work and again thanks for your help.
